Pagani cars are known as one of the latest super cars.
The company was founded in in 1992 by Argentinian Horacio Pagan.
In 1994 a deal was struck to power the cars with a Mercedes V12. First a 6.0 L and later, a 7.3 L. Horsepower is around 750.
The company is based in San Cesario sul Panaro , a city near Modena, Italy.
Featured models are the Huayra, Zonda, and Imola.
Paganis are normally preordered ahead of production, and sell out quickly.
Quantities are very limited, sometimea as low as 20 cars of a specific model, or 100-200.
The first car was the Zonda (named after an air current which flows in the Andes mountains). This is in Argentina where Horacio Pagani was born.
Along with the V12 engine, the cars feature a multi-program sequential transmission, and adjustable suspension.
Even with all this the Zonda only weighes in at just a little more than 2800 pounds.
