This
is a MENG Ford Super Dty
F350 pickup truck model.
It's
quite detailed, including every nut and bolt on the ladder
box frame. The diesel engine has plenty of details as well.
The
tires are rubber, but hollow. They don't do a good job of
supporting the slightly heavy model when it's finished,
and they don't stay on the rims very well.
The
model itself includes two sets of wheels and two sets of
sidesteps for the cab. You get to choose which ones you
want to attach.
The
interior is well represented, as is the headliner. A painting
masked is supplied to paint the black edge on the front
windshield.
The
model is exceptional, but I had problems getting the cab
/ body to fit correctly onto the chassis. With the engine
installed, there's quite a lot of parts sticking out that
get in the way when trying to match the chassis and body.
Taking
the chassis off several times, I never could get it to fit
to my satisfaction. Other modelers told me that taking out
the side windows cures many of the issues. It seems the
side windows prevent the cab from completely coming flush
with the chassis. One modeler cut the side windows so they
look like they are rolled half way down, and that works
as well.
The
truck is painted a Duplicolor dark blue, with a Tamiya (or
Testors) metallic blue over that.
