the heavy truck model kits for the International builders.
Trucking
is known worldwide, and throughout Europe and even Australia,
heavy trucks get the job done. Whether it's hauling goods across
country, from the badlands to the deep forests, from desert heat
to ice and snow, these trucks are durable, tough, and dependable.
Of
course, they have to enter the cities too, and the cab over designs
are the most popular. Especially when they have to navigate thin
alley roads and some tight corners.
Truck
model kits come in many differnt ways and configurations, from
the dual and single rear axles, to multi axles on fire trucks
and heavy haulage trailers.
If
you have a new truck, you want it to look good, and many of these
kits, especially the Italeri ones, have very colorful decal sheets,
which fall into their "Show" category kits.
That
doesn't mean they don't work hard, it's just that the truck manufactures
and aftermarket companies like to have good looking rigs for the
roads and highways.
To
keep the International theme with truck models, there are some
Japanese trucks as well, from Fuso, Hino, and Isuzu, among others.
They make heavy trucks, as well as medium duty box trucks, and
bus kits. The bus kits are usually 1/32 scale, but they're still
a fair size, and often have colorful decals and color schemes.
Model
truck kits have always been popular, and there's no sign that's
slowing down any.
